2009-2010 Season

The Chargers took the Championship Series 3-2 over the Raiders!

The winning team members are: Paul Sisock, Charlie Decowski, Sr., George Gyurko, Jon Dancho, and John Wanyo

The Runner-up Raiders are: Jim Baran, Dale Davidovich, Lee Belles, Jr., Bob Cull, Jr., and Patti Spivak

The five matches went:

Players are reminded, the annual outdoor outing is scheduled for Saturday, August 28th at the VFW grove beginning at 12PM. The other indoor outing is scheduled for September 25th and will be a kick-off party for the 2010-11 dart season. Food, refreshments, and a luck-of-the-draw dart tournament is being planned. If players do not sign up for next year, they are still welcome to attend the party and any new player can attend, but will be responsible to pay an entrance fee. Additional details will be forthcoming.

A sign-up sheet for the 2010-2011 season will be posted at the outdoor outing and will be located on the VFW bulletin board starting in September. Any new player who doesn’t have a legitimate league average and wants to shoot in the VFW House League will have to shoot for average before team selection. Team selection is tentatively scheduled for September 24th at 8PM and the first week of play is October 1st . All players must be members of the Freeland VFW. Our in-house VFW league for 2008-09 wrapped up on Friday March 20th.

The Chargers took the series 3-2 over the Giants. The winning team members are:

Paul Sisock, Charlie Decowski, Sr., Francis Gortva, Bob Cull, and Tom Pagano.

The Runner-up Giants are:

Curt Petrusky, Clint Coombs, George Gyurko, Shawn Cull, and Ed Repetz, Sr.
