Sad News - Barb Shelly Passes Away June 3, 2010
Barbara B. Shelly
Barbara B. Shelly, 68, of Perkiomenville, passed away in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp. after fighting a short, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer that ended on Thursday, June 3, 2010. She and her beloved husband Thomas F. Shelly would have celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on June 17. Born in Royersford, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Myrtle (Bossert) Fluke. For 31 years Mrs. Shelly and her husband owned and operated the Naceville Hotel in Sellersville. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Telford. She was actively involved in a book club, enjoyed cooking and shopping; but her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and her many friends and extended family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Hershey and her husband Steve of Perkiomenville, Vicki Fox and her husband Kelly of Sellersville, two sons: Andrew Shelly and his wife Theresa of Pennsburg, Steven Shelly and his wife Nicole of Coopersburg, seven grandchildren: Sarah Nickels and her husband Chris, Jesse Hershey and his wife Christina, Ella Fox, Jeremiah Hershey, Vera Fox, Luke Shelly, and Levi Shelly, one great grandson, William Nickels, a sister, Darlene Christman and her husband Gordon of Lapuni, ID, two brothers: Gerald B. Fluke and his wife Joan of Trexlertown, David Brian Fluke and his wife Dolores of Barto. She was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Humber, and a brother, James Fluke. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11 AM in the Trinity United Church of Christ, 101 S. Main St., Telford. Family will receive friends from 9-11 AM prior to the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Spring Mount Mennonite Church, 25 Church Road, Schwenksville, PA 19473. Arrangements are by the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, Telford.
